  • Vegetables (like garden eggs or spinach
  • optional)
  • Lemon or lime juice (optional for taste)

Steps:

  1. Prepare the groundnuts: Roast or boil the peanuts until cooked, then grind them into a smooth paste or powder
  2. Prepare the base: Blend tomatoes, onions, garlic, ginger, red bell peppers, and scotch bonnet peppers into a smooth mixture
  3. Cook the protein: In a large pot, heat palm oil or vegetable oil
  4. Add your choice of meat, chicken, goat, or fish, and sauté until lightly browned
  5. Add the blended mixture: Pour the blended tomato-pepper-onion mixture into the pot with the protein
  6. Fry for about 5–10 minutes until it reduces slightly
  7. Add water or stock: Pour in enough water or stock to achieve your desired soup consistency
